Spring Press Festival 2013 opensThe 2013 Spring Press Festival opened in Hanoi on January 29, forming part of cultural activities introducing Vietnam’s political, economic, and social achievements to wider audiences.

The event offers media agencies an opportunity to reflect on their recent design and content renovations.

The festival’s displays include thousands of special press publications that were chosen to serve as important channels for communicating Party and State guidelines to readers.

Visitors to the festival can learn more about the notable achievements journalists earned during the past year, and deepen their understanding of Vietnam’s cultural beauty and traditional customs as the Lunar New Year Festival (Tet) approaches.

The Hanoi Journalists’ Association used the occasion to officially recognise 27 articles typifying the capital city in 2012 with the Ngo Tat To Press Award.

The same day, Spring Fair also opened in the central city of Da Nang, attracting 140 businesses from Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, China, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
