Germany helps Vietnam improve skills for vocational teachersEleven vocational teachers from Danang city have been sent to Berlin to attend a two-month refresher course.

During the course, they will have an opportunity to get acquainted with the model of vocational training in Germany.

Pham Thi Nhu Anh, President of the Cuu Long Culture Association said each year sees up to one million of young people reaching their working age, and the need for vocational training is urgent. Germany is well-known for its effective cooperation model between vocational training schools and businesses.

Under the model, trainees spend nearly one-third of their time learning theory and more than two thirds practicing at factories. Therefore, after graduation, they do have a good command of both theory and professional skills, and businesses are ready to accept.

Nhu Anh said we want to replicate the model with support from German partners.
